Senior QA Analyst, Lahore - Contour Software Inc.

The Division

Gallery Systems – a division of Constellation Software Inc., provides cultural collection management and web publishing software solutions to the finest cultural institutions throughout the world for over 30 years. The division requires a Senior Tester to work from our Contour Lahore Office.

Responsibilities

• Conceive, develop, and implement testing strategies including exploratory testing, functional testing, incremental integration testing, and regression testing to identify software defects and improve overall software quality


• Perform manual testing of web and client/server applications for the types of testing described above


• Create concise, easily understandable defect reports


• Validate/troubleshoot data issues directly in the database (SQL Server and Oracle)


• Coordinate with Development Team and QA Team members to ensure effective communication for feature testing and defect remediation


• Provide documentation as required, including feature documentation and test cases


• Reconfigure hardware and software environments as needed, including both physical and virtual environments

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience


• 5 to 10 Years ofsolid experience in testing browser-based applications


• Ability to test and validate RESTful web services independently from a web application


• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle with the ability to write complex SQL statements


• Experience writing test plans and scripts


• Experience with bug tracking applications (ex: JIRA)


• Basic system administration skills, including installing operating systems and service packs, configuring ODBC connections, etc.


• Solid working knowledge of various flavors of Windows (8, 10, Server 2012 R2, etc.) and MS Office 2010 and above (Word, Excel, Access)


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Ability to manage time effectively to complete multiple assignments on or ahead of schedule


• Can work independently as well as part of a distributed team

Wed love to see
