Project Summary:**
In May 2015, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) awarded a five-year contract to Management Systems International (MSI) to provide a full range of performance management services to USAID/Pakistan. The performance management support contract (PERFORM) is intended to enhance the Mission’s oversight capability, document project and implementer performance, generate data and information to help project managers improve project results through better implementation and design, and provide services that support the Mission’s learning and adaptive process, enabling it to better target its programming and achieve its goal and objectives. The performance components will include: (1) Monitoring Services; (2) Evaluation Services; (3) Assessment Services; and (4) Learning Support Services.

Position Summary:
MSI is seeking a Logistics Assistant to join the PERFORM team in Islamabad. The Logistics Assistant will be responsible for the smooth fleet operations of PERFORM. S/he will be responsible for providing required logistical support to PERFORM staff in coordination with the Travel Coordinator.
The Logistics Assistant will report directly to the Operations Manager. This is a full-time position based in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is expected to begin immediately and continue through April 2020.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inspection of project vehicles.
- Timely reporting of required repair and maintenance of all project vehicles to Operations Manager.
- Ensure the maintenance records for all project vehicles are accurate and up-to-date using tracking sheets.
- Review work in progress and completed work orders to ensure that appropriate repairs were successfully completed and properly documented.
- Keep track of vehicle fuel requirement and ensure timely topping up of all the project vehicles;
- Prepare monthly fuel consumption report.
- Maintains record of all expenditures of each vehicle, maintenance equipment, fuel, repair parts, supplies (first aid kits, fire extinguishers) etc.
- Negotiate corporate service agreements to ensure cost efficiency.
- Coordinate staff transportation requests, and arrange car rentals when required.
- Oversee CPOs duty roster in coordination with the Security Manager.
- Assist Administration Officer in keeping PERFORM office operational and clean.
- Assist Administration Officer in keeping inventory record, physical inventory count; handling petty cash advances when required.
- Assist Travel Coordinator in preparation and submission of expense reports of PERFORM travelers.
- Assist in managing travel activities of PERFORM teams in Pakistan, including lodging, ground transportation and flights.
- Oversee warehouse inventory movement.
- Perform other administrative and logistical tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration or Public Administration.
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Highly motivated, energetic, independent, self-starter, with strong customer service orientation.
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Strong presentation and communications skills – oral and written.
- Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
