Pakistan: Refugee Youth Donor Relation Officer


Children and Women Trust is a non-governmental, not for profit trust working for women and children in Pakistan. CWT is registered under the Trust ACT 1882 with the government of Pakistan.CWT has been working in Pakistan for vulnerable population of Women, children with their focus on fighting SGBV, right to education, youth, refugees and immigrants in Pakistan. Background:


As part of a global process of consulting with young refugees, CWT (Children and Women Trust) together with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the Women’s Refugee Commission, Inc. (WRC) and APRRN (Asia Pacific Refugee Rights Network) organized a three-and-a-half-day consultation in Islamabad from 2nd May, 2016 to 5th May, 2016.


CWT has been involved with refugee youth in the form of small consultations in Islamabad slums, Abbottabad, Peshawar and Lower Dir. The purpose of the consultations is to spread awareness on the role of youth in development, peace building and to create an environment for refugee youth where they can upgrade their skills and create better employment opportunities. Also to involve social media to remove/eliminate negative thinking/perceptions about the refugees, for this we are having the digital story telling project in which we capture experiences of refugee women and men, girls and boys in their own voices about the challenges, hardship they face in Pakistan and also about their success stories and opportunities they have in Pakistan.


CWT is looking for a competent “Refugee Youth Donor Relations Officer (Online Volunteer )


Role and Responsibilities:


Under the direct and overall supervision of CEO the Refugee Youth Donor Relations Officer will :


  • Act as proposal team leader and/or lead writer for assigned proposals;

  • Support CWT refugee youth program to develop, write and submit competitive proposals;

  • Identify and secure sectoral and functional experts required to pursue specific funding opportunities;

  • Ensure proposal quality, responsiveness, and compliance with donor and CWT requirements;

  • Promote consistent adherence to quality new business and proposal development practices;

  • Oversee proposal development production schedules against established deadlines and benchmarks;

  • Work with team to undertake donor mapping, cultivation and representation activities;

  • Meet and establish relationships with donors;

  • Facilitate best and final offer negotiations and revisions to proposals, budgets and budget narratives;

  • Develop capability statements and other standardized templates to facilitate proposal development processes and enhance competitiveness of submissions.


  • Participate in special projects, as needed;




  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the CEO.




  • Requirements:


    University graduate in relevant discipline, can be currently enrolled or already completed degree.


    1. Fresh graduates may apply, preference will be 1-2 years experience of refugees/youth related projects.

    2. Good communication skills (English)-written and verbal
      This is a volunteer position on a distance basis (home based)

    The Volunteer will have good experience of working with community and getting firsthand knowledge on Youth projects in the developing context in the humanitarian setting.


    The Volunteer will have the opportunity to have good networking with various donors/partners.
    Working Hours:
    6 hours per week (Total 12 weeks) can be extended.
