Hygiene Promoters (Male/Female)

Relevant Experience: BA/B.Sc with 2 Years Experience.

Job Description:

Responsible for overall activities of Hygiene promotion in the target area.To contact and organize local communities in the most appropriate way to take keen entrust in hygiene session.Arrange hygiene promotion sessions with the local communities and conduct sessions with the help of given material, visuals and practical based lectures against risky behavior.To conduct hygiene sessions for in the communities.  To train local communities on how to adopt preventive measures and avoid risky behavior.To involve local volunteer in your mission for sustainable changes.To identify the common diseases in the community and keep record of it.Sensitize local community regarding water born diseases and its impacts.To exchange ideas and experiences with management and field staff so that they arrange medical camps for them, if needed.Report to Project Officer WASH/Site Engineer/PM.Responsible to conduct hygiene session in the communities as well as in the schools.Practical demonstration should be give on hygiene domain.Hygiene training must cover the following topics: personal hygiene, domestic hygiene, water hygiene, Food hygiene, Environmental hygiene, safe deposal of human extras.Conduct brief session on different diseases which are the outcome of unhygienic practices.Hygiene session must be participatory.Hygiene session must be delivered in pushto and use Local language and terminologies.To seek guidance from Supervisor/ PM in case of any problem in the assigned work.To perform any other task assigned by the supervisor.

Relevant Experience: 

Bachelor degree  from a recognized university,Minimum Three years of relevant experience in relevant field.Excellent management, organizational and communications skills.Ability to work under pressure and under difficult conditions.Excellent English and Urdu communication skills required; knowledge of local languages a plus

Job Description:

To identify, mobilize, organize and form broad base community organization.Ensure that activities are integrated and meeting specific objectives and are implemented in a consultative, participative and gender sensitive way.Collect baseline information before the implementation of each intervention.Assist in developing criteria for the identification of most vulnerable and poor communities of the target areas using PRA tools and other relevant techniques.Assist Project Manager, Field Engineer and field technical team in identification of damaged / affected and appropriate and low cost drinking water supply schemes (as per targets set in the project agreement) to meet people's domestic needs and to improve their livelihoods.Work in close collaboration with the project team to ensure maximum community participation at all stages of project design and implementation. In particular, ensure the full and equal participation of women in all aspects of the work.Conduct effective health and hygiene sessions at village and school level.Ensure that all work is carried out in a way that is sensitive to community needs and gender issues.Document case studies, lessons learnt success stories and other information to analyze impact and to inform future program design.Maintain field files in an appropriate manner.Assist communities in resolving conflicts if any.Prepare weekly reportsExecute project activities under the guidance and supervision of concerned Supervisor Submit monthly progress reports to the Field Engineer every month.To participate in feed back sessions everyday.To develop improved format for working.Attend relevant training’s/workshops/seminars as and when nominated by the organization.Abide by the ORGANIZATION policies, procedures and values and to maintain confidentiality and best interest of the organization.Perform any other tasks as may be assigned from time to time
