Marketing and Supply Chain Manager

 Position Summary:

The Marketing and Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for leveraging private sector relationships and linking them to three agencies to support the development and expansion of micro and small enterprises in three agencies.  The position will coordinate with the Sr. Economic Development Officer, Value Chain Specialist and Economic Development Officer. S/he will liaise as appropriate with other relevant donor programs, agribusiness stakeholders and government partners to increase visibility and maximize coordination.

Reporting & Supervision:

The Marketing and Supply Chain Manager reports to the Senior Medium & Small Business Advisor. The position will also ensure appropriate support of program activities to agency program staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

Support market access activities in three agencies in areas of horticulture and livestock;Develop export promotion strategy in collaboration with partners, including the private sector and other external programs;Organize and identify appropriate stakeholders for cluster groups in close proximity to market centers in each agency of multiple value chains to facilitate market access and development;Develop training materials and provide technical assistance to identify needs in each agency;Lead marketing and supply chain activities that improve availability of market information to stakeholders in targeted value chains;Build on existing programs to develop long-term sustainable approaches;Support the development and expansion of business relationships in three agencies;Report on economic development activities and measurable impact;Coordinate with other donor programs to increase linkages between internal and external stakeholders;Other tasks as needed.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

University degree in relevant technical subject area.At least two years of experience in donor-funded projects.Strong teamwork and networking skills.Fluency in English and local languages required.
