Health & Nutrition Coordinator
Relevant Experience:
Internally with line manager, other management team in Pakistan and Field Team Members and with relevant members at regional and HQ level. Externally with Implementing Partners, donors, Government departments, UN Clusters and any other relevant stakeholder as required.
To be responsible for the development and management of geriatric Health and Nutrition Program/projects, supervision and development of Technical documents (Health and Nutrition) and identifying funding and advocacy opportunities to be taken forward.
Job Description:
1- Develop strategic framework for Health and Nutrition program in the country.
2- Identify relevant donors and Lead to or assist in development of Concept Notes and project proposals on Health and Nutrition and submission to donors.
3- Coordinate, monitor or manage Health and Nutrition projects, or activities of Health and Nutrition related Age friendly components in larger projects & to ensure smooth and timely implementation of the Age friendly interventions as designed in the project framework.
4- Maintain proper record and develop periodic progress reports, activities and project completion reports for management or outside agencies.
5- Develop monitoring and evaluation tools, Evaluates project effectiveness to develop improved methods; devises evaluation methodology and implements; analyzes results and recommends and/or takes appropriate action.
6- Documenting key good practices, evidence, and identifying gaps through desk and operational research in health sector for older people and disseminate to relevant stake holders.
7- Monitor the trends in local, national and international health policy and strategy that impact HelpAge health program and make recommendations to management for development of Health and Nutrition program accordingly.
8- Develop conceptual and strategic frameworks for policy and advocacy on health especially NCD, Ageing & Disability, Emotional wellbeing
9- Advocacy with major actors (Government, (I) NGOs and UN Clusters, NDMA) in key coordination meetings through regular attendance and engagement.
10- Translation, design and development of training curriculum and IEC material for different audiences on health topic.
11- Represent HelpAge International at national and international forums and ensure active HAI membership / participation in donor, cluster, NGO and other relevant forums.
