Responsibilities:
· Creating, enhancing and maintaining Framework Manager models to support business requirements
· Developing and implementing plans for improving business intelligence.
· Design, develop, test and maintain Cognos dashboard, scorecard, reports and queries based on the user requirements
· Develop, support and monitoring the Data Warehouse using Extract, Transform and Load (ETL).
· Working with power users of the reporting tool to advice on best practices for the best use of BI.
· Managing the reporting to ensure that scheduled jobs are successfully run and analytics data aligns to timeliness / completeness requirements.·Working on databases uses for reporting are tuned for optimal performance.
· Write efficient SQL and store procedures against database tables on various platforms for data validation. Profile and analyze data during the Report development. Install, upgrade, configure, and administer BI products/patches/upgrades to the environment
Education/Experience/Skills:
· 3+ years related experience
· Proficiency with Cognos BI product suite (Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Query Studio, etc.)
· Proficiency with Oracle Report Builder.
· Performance tuning experience related to reporting queries required
· Understanding of data integration issues (validation and cleaning), familiarity with complex data and structures
· Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills are required to support working in project environments that includes internal, external and customer teams
· Requires strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities
· Programming/scripting experience and knowledge of software development life cycle is preferred
· BA/BS in Computer Science or related field is preferable. Equivalent combination of experience, education and training will be considered.
