Pakistan: Pakistan - Programme Management Expert - Construction and Infrastructure Management


Responsibilities


· Represent IMC Worldwide and maintain and foster the existing professional relationships with donors and development partners


· Provide day to day management, guidance and support to in-country teams to ensure the smooth running of programmes


· Work with team members to ensure that the various agencies, including donors and delivery partners, work effectively together to achieve programme objectives


· Programme, monitor and oversee the efficient and transparent procurement


· Ensure all programme related financial transactions are carried out professionally and transparently and be a signatory to the programme bank accounts and construction contracts


· Manage all aspects of the construction implementation process and in particular ensure that all quality standards are achieved and implement timely corrective actions as required.


· Ensure all programme deliverables are met


· Ensure all reporting requirements are met


Qualifications & experience required


· An advanced degree in either engineering or business management OR a minimum of 15 years’ experience of developing and managing large scale construction programmes in South Asia.


· Proven management skills gained outside your normal country of domicile.


· Previous experience of successfully managing large donor funded construction or infrastructure programmes in the region is essential.


· Previous experience in the management of large complex infrastructure projects.


· Management and monitoring of large numbers of contractors who are widely spread geographically.


· Management of a large programme team of professionals with diverse sector expertise.


· Fluent written and spoken English.


This role will be based in Islamabad but with travel to target areas as required. The project is ongoing with an anticipated start date of the post being the second quarter of 2016.


Duration: Up to 4 years.
