Outreach Worker, Shikar pur - Save the Children

Data entry and production of reports as and when required.

Develop material on Health & Hygiene

Carry out community assessments within in field areas to assess the issues pertaining to hygiene

Impart session to children and parents on significance of health & hygiene practices

To work for the promotion of Health & Hygiene practices at community level

Regular field visits of to various field areas to observe the wash facilities

Conduct meetings with community and figures such as parents, teacher etc.

Written and verbal reporting on progress on weekly basis

Assist the Health Coordinator in all other issues related to the development and implementation of the emergency and rehabilitation Health program

Out Reach Worker (Male)

Context:

New Light AIDS Control Society started its operations in 1999 and currently working in the area of HIV/AIDS with focus on care and support of PLHIV in Pakistan.

New Light AIDS Control Society has its main office at Lahore; however care and support project is implemented by New Light throughout Punjab and Sindh. New Light is going to scale up its program under Global Fund Round 9 at Punjab and would provide comprehensive care and support services to PLHIV.

Primary Responsibilities:

Conducts regular home visits Provides HIV/AIDS information to PLHIV Orients PLHIV on Care and support services Responsible to accompany PLHIV to hospitals for emergency and non-emergency visitsPrepares daily visit reports as per activities undertaken Collect data from field and update regularly project indicator database Key Responsibilities:

Refers new HIV cases to project counselor for counseling Responsible for development of monthly and quarterly plan in coordination with project managerAssists project manager for development of monthly/quarterly narrative project reportPrepares the monthly check up list of PLHIV  and keep record Coordinates with public  and private sector hospitals regarding regular checkup, treatment and  availability of ARV Conducts advocacy session with communities Organizes monthly/quarterly meetings of PLHIVConducts training need assessment for PLHIV and coordinate with project/program manager regarding vocational and business training Develops data base of PLHIV that are provided nutritional and food support Works closely with project/program manager regarding educational support to infected and effected children Collects field data as per project indicators and update data tracking sheet Assists the monitoring team from CRS during their field visitsAny other duty assigned by the chief executive or project manager Maintains confidentiality to access of information regarding New Light AIDS Control Society and its PartnersPersonal/Professional Skills:

Minimum education should be F.A/F.Sc At least one year NGO experience preferably as outreach worker/peer educatorAble to write in Urdu/ English daily visit and activities related reports Able to work on Microsoft world and excelMust have keen interest to work for PLHIV members without being judgementalWillingness to travel in remote areas of PunjabFluency in Urdu and Local Languages of Punjab Flexible, motivated team playerKey Working Relationships:

Internal:

Project Managers, Admin and Finance Officers, Project Staff and Chief Executive External:

Local  NGOs, PACP, CRS, Hospitals, HIV treatment centers, PPTCT centers
