Education Coordinator Female

Technical Responsibilities:

To plan project interventions with the staff of the his/her respective team on weekly, monthly and yearly basis, based on the technical proposal of the Project.To ensure the project interventions are properly implemented and is result bearing by monitoring the activities in the field.To make sure that all the sectors of the project in his her unit work together as an integrated unitTo ensure that his/her respective staff has the relevant technical skills to perform the functions assigned to them.To evaluate and monitor the progress of the project interventionsTo report on the progress made, on weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis to all the stakeholders of the project.To perform other duties not specified by this ToR when necessary.

Administrative Responsibilities:

Human Resources:

To supervise of his/her respective Staff memberTo ensure the staff  follow the approved SOPsTo participate in the recruitment and termination of his/her unit Staff contracts in consultations and coordination with the donors  or program manager and in compliance with  policies and proceduresTo conduct formal and informal performance appraisals of his/her unit staff as per Organization policies and procedures  and report the same to the Executive Director or program manager with suggestions for promotion, termination or capacity building of the staffTo advise staff on improvement in performance, as required, based on the performance appraisalsTo ensure that his/her unit staff is properly paid for the services they render for the Project

 Logistics

To coordinate that all the logistic arrangements are in place for smooth functioning of his/her unitTo coordinate procurement of all the support material and supplies for smooth functioning of his/her unit, as per RI procurement procedures. This includes collection of bids, scrutiny of bids and making final recommendations to the programs head for placement of Purchase Order to the selected vendor.

Administration

To ensure that all staff have proper work places to sit and are properly equipped with the supplies, equipment and furniture that they would require in order to ensure effective performance

Finance

To prepare draft budget for his/her unit of the PROJECT in coordination with Finance officer and the Manager.Organization will issue a Petty Cash  (reimbursable) to PROJECT unit team, which will be maintained by the PROJECT Finance Department, under the supervision of the Program Manager.To coordinate that proper financial record of the transactions of the Project is maintained.To coordinate that timely financial reports are prepared and are submitted to the Program Manager and to the Programs Head on monthly basis.

Linkages

To represent and promote PROJECT to all stakeholders in his/her unit areaTo establish networks with line departments.

Qualifications:

Master Degree in social Science or relevant field.Must have knowledge of the education related activities.At least 4-5 years of progressive experience and proven track record of relevant competence of working with NGOs/INGOs.Experience in development programming and management, program planning and reporting. Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.Ability and interest to work with a multi-ethnic team in a culturally appropriate manner.Experience of working in unstable or conflict affected areas and willingness to work in very remote areas with limited services and amenities.Experience in working with and coordination with international and national NGOs and government agencies.Having adept knowledge of computer applications and soft ware’s (MS Word, MS Excel & Power point).Strong writing/drafting and reporting skills.

Early Childhood Education Trainer (Female)

The Early Child hood Education trainer, with the guidance and support of the Project Coordinator, is responsible for developing and implementing a training program for CPLC’s (Child Protection Learning Centers) facilitators, parents, care givers, teachers, child protection committees, village organizations, PTCs and for children. The training components must meet the emotional, physical, cognitive and social needs of both the individual child and the group, keeping in view World Vision’s mission and principles

Major Activity:
• Undertake training need assessment of CPLC facilitators ,parents, teachers, PTC/SMC members and other stakeholders
• Design training material/manuals and conduct trainings in close coordination with project coordinator
• Design and implement training follow up mechanism and ensure need based support and guidance to the CPLC facilitators
• Work closely with CPLC facilitators, education officers and child protection officers to provide a warm, safe, and caring environment in schools and CPLCs that is kept orderly, clean and appealing to allow the child to grow and to explore.
• Develop low/no cost activities for teaching   by involving children, CPLC facilitators, teachers and PTC members.
• Write  training reports according to the project and donor requirements
• Maintain ongoing records for children in CPLCs, including keeping records of all developing skills (physical, social, emotional, and cognitive).
• Produce success stories/case studies and share with communication & advocacy section through concerned supervisor
• Orient the concerned beneficiaries on project goal, objectives and target
• Maintain updated record of concerned activities.
• Contribute in short/long term plans, conducting need assessments and developing concept notes.
• Submit monthly, weekly and daily work plan to the concern supervisor on regular basis.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:
• MA/MSc with B.Ed/M.Ed.
• Master in Education/Teacher Education is desirable

Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
• Diverse work experience with National/International well reputed organizations is desirable.

Skills:
• Good communication skills both verbal and written in Pashto, English and Urdu
• Good report writing skills
• Able to design training material/manuals and conduct trainings to the diverse stakeholders
• Proficient in MS Office (MS Word, Power Point and Excel)
• Knowledge of CRC, INEE Minimum Standards and Sphere standards
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Coordination and team building sills
• Demonstrates strong conflict management skills

Senior Education Manager

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: 1. Provide technical inputs and overall responsible to develop and implementation management of SC education programs in Balochistan; 2. Financial Management as Sub-budget holder; 3. Ensure preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual work plans for all projects/programs and collate these into overall detailed implementation plan and ensure that all education staff adhere to work plans and targets and to make timely adjustments for any unforeseen delays; 4. Conduct program monthly review meeting with the education team members and oversee progress toward achievement of planned targets in each project; 5. Work closely with SC implementing partners to review their performance and organizational development needs in line with our strategy for partner’s management. 6. Provide technical support for developing teacher and PTC members training programs. Monitor training programs to ensure quality of training; 7. Lead the education team by informing on workable models of education, ECD, child participation, quality education including teacher professional development 8. Facilitate education and SHN team members to conduct SHN campaign at program schools and madrassa. 9. Develop and launch advocacy initiatives to mobilize stakeholders on education issues at district, provincial and national level; 10. Coordinate data management with district EMIS (Education Management Information System) for all education projects with the assistance of MIS team members. 11. Oversee compliance of all program activities with Save the Children national and global policies and procedures and with relevant donor regulations and agreements; 12. Oversee the monitoring, evaluation and research activities of the education sector programs; 13. Represent Save the Children in education related meetings and help maintain effective relations and good coordination with the government, UN agencies, INGOs, NGOs and other stakeholders in Balochistan as requested by the Balochistan Program Manager or Director Education & Child Development; 14. Assist with strategic planning and proposal development to build Save the Children’s education portfolio in Balochistan. 15. Devise and implement strategies to promote gender equity at all levels of the education program. 16. Compile narrative and financial reports and to assist in the collection, analysis and dissemination of research and other relevant data to prepare monthly, quarterly, Bi-annual and Annual reports; 17. Any other Task assigned by PM. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE • Master's Degree in Social Science and/or Education from HEC recognized University; • At least 8 years of project management experience in development sector; • At least 5 years of experience in working in Education Sector; • Experience in Monitoring, Evaluation & Research; • Demonstrated ability to lead a technical and professional project team members to meet objectives in and across multiple technical areas and timely accomplishment the project activities; • Good understanding of the project cycle, including project monitoring and design of project frameworks; • Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to perform; • Ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with donors, government line departments and other partners; • Demonstrated leadership capacity to analyze problems and issues and to develop technical solutions • Ability to visit project sites in remote areas as and when required; • Competency in Word and Excel • Excellent skills in written and spoken English, Urdu and local languages. • Good leadership and communication skills • Willingness to serve in SC humanitarian response.

Education Coordinator

Job Description
? Co-ordinate with District Program Manager and Education staff and DoE for effective implementation of the education project activities, ensuring clear guidance and standards for all program staff are in compliance with all agreements and the project proposal
? To Represent SC-Alliance in Education Working group at district level and participate in other education forums
? To manage Community Mobilizers, and work in close collaboration with the community and teachers for the roll-out of agreed project activities
? Develop work plan, budget plan (Monthly Financial Projection) and effective monitoring of all activities.
? Ensure that the education program is implemented effectively in a good quality standards and ensuring consistency of the work in accordance to the program goal and objectives.
? Submit operational plans on weekly and monthly basis, reviewing activities periodically, to ensure that project expenditures are used within limits and guidelines approved by the Program Manger.
? Develop, maintain and improve mutual and beneficial relationships with key stakeholders and provide capacity building through advocacy (including government officials, school teachers and community leaders) to ensure successful implementation of the project.
? Develop, maintain and improve work coordination with local key partners (community, NGO, international bodies), to ensure the successful implementation of the project activities
? Develop progress reports periodically to line manager, in order to ensure the provision of accurate and updated information.
? Ensure effective, streamlined communication between education program and Logistics and other support staff.


Requirements
? Post Graduate Degree or equivalent experience in Education, Social work or other relevant discipline
? Demonstrated 3-4 years of overall experience; and a minimum of 2-3 years of specific sector experience
? Experience of implementing best practices
? Good understanding of education concepts and issues in Emergency context
? Strong interpersonal and team building skills and excellence as a team player
? Fluency in written and spoken English is highly desirable
