Identify “core competencies” of training team: Together with the training team the training director to identify “core competencies”. Deploy competency mapping in the company.
Knowledge management: Keeping training materials up to date. Organizing the using of other types of training materials distance learning and face to face learning. Using IT to produce training materials and manuals. Management of all training materials of company.
Training strategies: Develops training objectives, strategies, and programs. Directs the implementation of policies and procedures related to various training and educational programs for the training team of DIL.
Training programs: Review and approve training needs, training programs. Deploy and supervise training programs
Development: Review and approve programs of career development. Deploy and supervise programs planned and implemented.
Management of training budget Prepare training budgets and send to CEO, COO and ED for approval. Supervise training budgets implemented.
Education: Master Degree in education, specific subject or in any related discipline
Relevant Experience: 7 – 9 years of relevant experience in education or development sector
General Position Background:
USAID Power Distribution Program (PDP) is providing assistance to the government owned Power Distribution Companies of Pakistan (DISCOs), with the aim to curtail losses, enhance revenues and have a well regulated power distribution system in Pakistan. PDP’s assistance, in its current phase, is geared towards MEPCO and PESCO and will end in September 2015.
Relevant Experience:

The Senior Training Analyst is responsible for:
For successful delivery of training & capacity building initiatives through coordination with all stakeholders, and as per HR&CM directions.As required, design and deliver function-specific training programs at the two DISCOs, in accordance with the training calendar already established.In coordination with the DISCO counterparts, determine civil works and other requirements in pursuance of the infrastructure development of the Regional Training Centers and the Circle Training Centers at the two DISCOs. This will involve, among other, identifying furniture, furnishings and equipment (FF&E), including IT-related equipment for the training centers; follow-up on the procurement process in coordination with PDP procurement office; ensure successful delivery and installation of the FF&E and submitting completion report.Assist in drafting and providing specific input to close-out reports of HR&CM projects, as directed.Event planning, specifically training workshops, and the management and execution of logistics for such events, including following up on proper administrative procedures of PDP. This will include, among other, securing and managing training locations, space and lodging for participants and facilitators, creating and organizing training material and ensuring appropriate supplies.Liaison with training service providers to meet training objectives.Create timelines and work plans for each event, as directed by Director HR&CM.Summarize evaluation reports for trainings and provide outcomes to Director HR & Change Management, PDP and Director HR, DISCO as directed.Maintaining and updating hard copies and electronic files pertaining to training programs and clients.Close coordination with DISCO management to institutionalize sustainable training & development function.Compiling final reports for all training programs.Other tasks as may be assigned by the Team Lead.Note: Project End Date will be September 2015

Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Training Specialist in designing, planning and coordinating a detailed training plan taking into account the needs of partner government institution and evaluate the impact of the trainings.Facilitate Training Specialist in ensuring effective management, implementation of all training activities as per work plan focusing on achieving the set outputs and outcome.Responsible for successfully conduct of all training activities, designing training package, including methodologies, procedures and modalities for effective training and coordinating with all involved actors to make necessary arrangements and timely execution.Review of all training packages by analyzing the course contents, methodology and efficiency and effectiveness of resource persons and training materials, impact assessment and feedbacks on improving training programs etc.To manage all training related files, documents, correspondence and respond to training program related queries and prepare high quality training program reports.Other activities as may be assignedQualifications and Skills:

· Develop the PR training plan in line with the overall work plan and process its approval
· Design and conduct the training sessions/workshops based on the plan and prepare the training reports
· Review and refine the training manual for standardized training module
· Compile, select and modify training materials/aids
· Ensure the distribution of teaching material and aids with appropriate feedback and guidelines to the provincial/district coordinators and the respective training facilitators
· Regular-on going documentation and reporting on program activities
· Provide appropriate feedback on BCC and other training activities being conducted with a view to improve and integrate training process.

· Facilitate and coordinate the development of National Malaria BCC Strategy and its wide dissemination
· Coordinate the development and implementation of activities involving print and electronic media
· Keeping updated record of all relevant activities at federal, provincial and district levels
· Maintain constant communication and coordination with all provincial and district staff for coordinating training process and BCC activities and ensuring quality
· Represent the program at important forums as well as participate in technical working teams at national level with partners
