Purpose:

• Implement origin transport logistics processes with logistics service providers, carriers, adidas liaison office and factories in responsible origins for all products/shipments under the GOPS responsibility according to defined processes.
• Drive 3PLs’ performance at origin to enable an in-time and full delivery of the products to the adidas Group’s customers.

Key Responsibilities:

For Operations Excellence

• Take responsibility of origin logistics operations in responsible origins to ensure that the defined logistics standard operation procedures are followed by 3PLs, carriers and factories aiming to an in-time delivery of the goods.
• Support and execute BSL and GOPS initiatives and projects in responsible origins.
• Monitor and drive 3PLs performance towards defined KPIs for responsible origins. Within this role the Logistics Manager establishes continuous process/performance reviews with 3PLs to achieve the set 3PL KPIs for all specified origins and also to identify process improvements.
• Collaborate with LOs to establish KPIs monitoring on factories and seek continuous improvement impacting 3PLs’ performance.
• Drive, build up, and manage very good local business relationship with 3PLs and carriers in responsible origins
• Establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration channels between 3PLs, carriers, LO and factories in responsible sourcing origins.
• Be a local expert for the responsible origins to support sourcing and regional team. This also requires the establishment of being the focal point of contact for sourcing teams of responsible LOs and local 3PLs.
• The Logistics Manager has to ensure that logistics master data related to his/her specific origins are updated in respective global data bases in time and correctly. This master data will serve as a baseline for important system transactions for our global sourcing volume.
• Continuously seek for complexity reduction for origin logistics processes and align the corresponding global roll out with infrastructure team and other CoE-L Origin Operations colleagues.

Deputy Logistics Coordinator, Islamabad - Action Against Hunger

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Objective 1: National Management of Logistic

Activities:

Working closely with the mission technical teams and the Logistics Co-Ordinator

Organization and supervision of supply chain, ensuring programs and support departments nationally are supplied on time.

In close collaboration with the Logistics Co-Ordinator ensure the organization, implementation, of KLV 3.1 Assist in the development of additional procedures if required; ensuring adherence to applicable donor procedures;

Oversight of proper stock management in Pakistan according to the Kit Log procedures.

Organisation and supervision of all mission equipment including planning/budgeting, procurement, allocation, tracking, and reporting. Organization and supervision of the fleet and its management (rental contracts, movements follow up, reporting, log book maintenance, fuel issues) in accordance with Kit Log and security and legal regulations.

Timely and responsive identification, rent, and necessary rehabilitation of ACF premises/facilities as well as their closure depending on program needs.

Organization and support to logistics assessments nationally as these are requested by the mission management.

Together with the Logistics Co-ordinator ensure the logistics aspects in the proposals (assessment of logistic needs, evaluation of the costs and feasibility for the supplies, draft of the procurement planning & logistic budget)

Support the Logistics Co-ordinator in the development of the Pakistan mission logistics strategy

Monitor and report on the performance of logistics audits and subsequent Donor reporting

Objective 2: Safety and Security

Activities:

Ensure the application of security guidelines nationally as per rules and procedures set up and validated at mission level by CD, safety and security co-ordinator and HQ.

Provide input for the formal and timely revision of national and local security plans and associated documentation (SOPs, MOSS, evacuation plans, constant companion, contact list) every three months with the support of the HoBs/Field Cos, CD and (if available) Security Officer(s).

Responsible for the proper hardening of ACF bases and guesthouses as per Kit Log and Security Plans? requirements.

Under the supervision of the LogCo, follow-up of incidents reported in the mission and provide recommendations when incidents are logistics related.

Objective 3: Human Resources

Activities:

In co-ordination with the Logistics Co-ordinator ensure the proper management and direction of the logistics team on the mission.

Recruitment, organization of the logistics department; with the support of the Logistics Co-ordinator forecast the HR logistics needs and preparation of organizational chart updates as needed.

Assist where required in the performance management and evaluation of logistics staff

Capacity building and training of logistics/procurement team, particularly on ACF and other donor guidelines/procedures

Technical support to logistics/procurement staff according to the timelines set by the Logistics co-ordinator.

Briefing of all new staff (basic logistics, procurement and KLV3).

Objective 4: Reporting

Activities:

Preparation and submission of Logistics monthly report (as per Kit Log ) and submission to Logistics Co-ordinator.

Preparation of reports on logistics assessments, field office openings/closures to Logistics Co-ordinator

Preparation of Logistics reports to donors in cooperation with Logistics Co-ordinator and Finance department.

Objective 5: Representation

Activities:

Representation of ACF to various stakeholders including local community members, authorities, other NGOs, companies and partners.

Participation in logistics-related meetings Log cluster and partners

Organization of and chairing of Logistics department meetings and participation in ACF coordination and other meetings as requested

Child Safeguarding the responsibilities of the post may require the post holder to have regular contact with or access to children or young people

ROLE PURPOSE:

As a key member of the Logistics Team, Logistics and Inventory officer will be responsible to manage all warehouse activities within the SC program of operation and provide support, capacity building and oversight to warehouse staff in field locations. The post holder will report regularly to the Manager Operation and Logistics, to ensure effective and efficient stock management and delivery in accordance with SC and Global Fund best practice standards. The position holder will also determine SR capacity in warehouse function and accordingly built their capacity.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Reports to: Manager Operation and Logistics

Dimensions: Save the Children works in over 50 districts in Pakistan with a current staff complement of approximately 2,500 staff and current expenditure of over $50 million each year.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Strategic Planning

Ensure international and nationaltransportation of freight by land, sea and air is in line with programmebudgets and needs; ensure the most cost effective and reliable means oftransport is used for the timely delivery of supplies to project sites

· Monitor stock levels and advise on appropriate stocking and replenishment to meet project demands

Innovation

Ensure each warehouse isappropriate for use, clean, well maintained and secure

Provision of Technical Assistance

Stock management procedures are in placeincluding: up to date and accurate stock records , all supporting documentsfor stock movements are in place; systems for monitoring stock movementsand regular physical stock-takes and management checksEnsure stock management and administrationsystems are implemented throughout the programme at warehouse

Representation and Networking

Liaise closelywill programmes for distribution planning and coordinate theloading/unloading of stocks in a timely and efficient manner fromwarehouse to distribution point

· Experience of developing and implementing Stock management policies, systems and procedures.

· Experience of building the capacity of warehouse staff through the use of training, performance management frameworks and development plans
