Pakistan: Assessment and Communication Manager

Identification and design of assessments/survey activities according to mission needs/pre-decided work plans and capacities that might include rapid assessments and sector specific/ multi-sector assessments. You have innovative ideas that you want to contribute towards developing a nutrition strategy as well as leading advocacy and communication activities and ensuring implementation of the projects.


Key activities in your role will include


  • Constructing, encouraging and implementing a creative and integrated approach to survey assessments.

  • Planning, supporting and following up on capacity development with field teams including recruitment, briefings, follow-up, training and evaluations.

  • Supporting the implementation of nutritional surveys in Pakistan including field visits, capacity building and analysis of the activities and results.

  • Representing ACF to the local Humanitarian Community and with Government officials as well as developing strong links with NGO actors to support the key messages and positioning of ACF.

  • Collecting background and general information and contextual information relevant to the survey and being responsible for the scientific quality of the survey.

Do you meet the profile required criteria ?


You’re a seasoned Nutrition professional


  • Master’s degree in statistics, surveys, research, social sciences or related field

  • Atleast 4 years of proven experience of conducting assessments, surveys and/or research and writing such reports.

  • Good understanding of integrated programming (DRM, FSL, WASH, NUT);

  • Knowledge and experience of conducting needs assessment, Cost of Diet, Nutrition Causal Analysis, Multi-sectoral rapid assessments, and related methodologies;

You’re a super communicator


  • You have experience working with colleagues who do not speak your language. You are used to explaining your work in non-technical terms.

  • You are comfortable explaining policies & procedures to a team.

  • You stay calm & like talking to colleagues to find solutions to their problems.

  • You have contributed to team reports & are able to succinctly summarize & analyze current field activities.

  • You are highly organized & pay attention to small details. You are calm under pressure, & able to easily adapt to changing circumstances.
