Job Description:

VAM SYSTEMS is currently looking for PHP Application Developer for our Bahrain operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions:
Skillset required:
Must be a PHP developer with .NET experience in addition to be able of administrating and designing the SharePoint.
Responsibilities:
1. Collect requirements from different departments
2. Analyze the data collected and identify interdependencies.
3. Program and develop system applications
4. Design software solutions based on gathered requirements
5. Maintain existing applications and ensure modification or upgrades are done as and when required
6. Monitor all the software
7. Follow up and coordinate between departments and outsourced software companies to resolve any issues
8. Develop documentation related to developed software including the user guide and developer guide
9. Evaluate different software solutions based on requirement and select the best suited provider
10. Design and implement efficient databases for the ICT systems that is accurately mapped to the Enterprise Data Mode.
11. Assist in managing and controlling physical and logical views to ensure a high level of performance of the database management system (DBMS).
12. Identify the structure and organization of the data to be stored in the database. Ensure that these are appropriate for the predicted access patterns.
13. Assist system developers in the design and modification of fields, relationships, and access methods under the DBMS.
14. Develop standards covering all aspects of the DBMS (file definition, record layouts, field data structures, naming conventions) to assist in the maintenance of existing applications, and in the development of new applications.
15. Manage the access authorization schemes, to ensure that only appropriate access is allowed, and that the integrity and confidentiality of the data is not compromised.
16. Assess the impact of changes to the database, or changes to an application accessing the database, or changes to the user’s access patterns. Ensure that performance is maintained in the changing environment.
17. Design and implement backup and recovery strategies such that fast and accurate recovery of the database is possible after any event.
18. Ensure that the quality of the service delivered to the users in BIPA is in accordance with negotiated service level agreements.
19. Conduct confidence tests to ensure the integrity of the database and its performance.
20. Liaise with the vendor of the DBMS, and with any appellation vendors, to resolve any problems encountered. Coordinate with systems programmers with regard to the application of fixes to such software.
21. Performs other duties and related tasks as may be required from time to time.
Experience Required: minimum 4 Years.
