Quality Assurance Engineer, Lahore - Netrevelation Technologies Pvt Ltd

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

·       Write test plans, cases, and conditions for manual testing of the application

·       Hands on automated testing for the web hosted applications in different tools and technologies

·       Assist with implementing an automated functional/regression test architecture in  the near future

·       Help and mentor other testers in testing and Best Practices

·       Support Quality Assurance department initiatives

·       Reporting regular status of testing

·       Recording and tracking defects through Web-based tools

·       Reviewing artifacts/documents such as RS, FS and User Manuals.

·       Scripting and executing load tests and analyzing results

·       Working with testers, operations, DBAs and developers to help solve performance issues in the application, network, and environment

·       Additional duties as assigned by team lead

·       Understand and adhere quality policies, procedures and standards

Skills & Experience:

·       Strong Analytical Skills 

·       Manual testing experience, an understanding of Best Practices and principals of testing 

·       Experience with various testing methodologies 

·       Experience testing Web-based applications 

·       Some experience/knowledge of automated testing tools, load & performance testing tools will be added advantage. 

·       Basic SQL query skills, understanding of database schema, Java/ .NET applications and XML 

·       Understanding of basic environment and network architectures 

·       Excellent oral and written communication and documentation skills in English 

·       Proficiency in MS Office and Visio products 

·       Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes

·       Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities

·       Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high pressure on-call environment with changing priorities

·       Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours

·       A results oriented individual who thrives working in a fast paced environment
