Pakistan: Pakistan Country Operations Manager- Islamabad (79-140)


About the role You will be responsible for all operations functions in Pakistan including procurement/logistics, asset management, fleet management, Human Resources and security oversight. You ensure compliance with donor regulations as well as our internal policies and procedures and build the capacity of local operations team members. You provide support and advise the Country Director, the South Asia Director and other team members on operational issues. The position is based in Pakistan (Islamabad) and will require extensive travel to our Peshawar and Lahore office. More specifically, you will be responsible for: Hold oversight management responsibility for all operations functions. Continue the development or review of country specific policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensure all SOPs and procedures are being followed. Line manage (directly or indirectly) the full Operations Team. Develop the capacity of Operations Team members, through training, work experience and recruitment. Ensure the Human Resource systems for national staff are implemented as in accordance with our national handbook and local labour laws. Work closely with corporate finance team to mitigate fraud and compliance with donor regulations.
Supervise the fleet management team (drivers) and ensure that systems are in place to track maintenance schedules, fuel usage and vehicle scheduling. Oversee facility management, including housing and office leases. *Support project managers in ensuring that our duty of care responsibilities are discharged on all projects.
