Integrated Field Officer, Dir - ACF International Action Against Hunger






























Job Description:

Objective 1


To implement EQ emergency response project at field level:


Tasks & responsibilities


 


  • · Implementation of the emergency project at field level

  • · Assist in the identification of communities to be selected for initial work.

  • · Assist in the development of an action plan for the distribution in the selected area.

  • · Aware and mobilize communities and conduct meetings with community members including men, women, children, elderly, PWDs etc.

  • · Conduct emergency response/ outreach activities in line with the detailed implementation plan (DIP) including house-to-house visits (HH Assessment), trainings, awareness raising and distributions;

  • · Ensure compliance of activities in line with the relevant standards, codes of conduct, and humanitarian principles, including ensuring full and inclusive participation;

  • · Train any project-specific or wider committees, groups, networks or volunteers;

  • · Utilize appropriate tools (including IEC materials, reporting formats and manuals);

  • · Complete transparent and appropriate selection of beneficiaries for response activities;

  • · Conduct cash distributions (CCGs) as per standards and requirement ;

  • · Consider cultural, gender and inclusion within all activities;

  • · Proactively seek support from supervisor where s/he recognizes issues within a specific community either security or programme related;

  • · Ensure compliance with the Charter and the fight against fraud, corruption and abuse of power; alert the Field Coordinator and / or Country Director in the event of fraud, corruption or abuse of power.

  • · Since the nature of project is emergency response, so the above stated responsibilities are not the exhaustive list, rather some related activities could also be asked to perform as assigned by the supervisor

 


Objective 2


To maintain comprehensive records and report in a timely manner:


Tasks & responsibilities


 


  • · Manage data collection, entry and analysis as per plan, tools and timeline;

  • · Maintain, document and handover all project records in an organized and complete manner to enable proper project closure;

  • · Support production of weekly, monthly and quarterly internal and external reports as requested;

  • · Participate in the weekly coordination meetings, or other ad hoc internal meetings as requested;

  • · Prepare handover/end of mission reports to cover periods of leave and/or upon exit from the project.

 


Objective 3


To assist in wider organizational development through learning:


Tasks & responsibilities


 


  • · Contribute to overall project design, activity implementation guidelines, training development, and documentation;

  • · Highlight areas of improvement wherever required

 


 
Skills Required:
 







SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL


• At least 2 year work experience in field implementation;



• Knowledge and/or experience in emergency response and training and/or community led methodologies (i.e. RNA, PLA, PRA etc);



• Experience in WASH and Nutrition related programming;



• Good written and spoken English and Urdu;



• Good spoken Pashto;



• Proficient in MS Office Applications;



• Planning and analysis capacity;



• Ability to work under pressure.


PREFERRED



• Work experience with a humanitarian organization carrying out community based activities in KP province;



• Experience of WASH based programming;



• From the local area.
