Sales Manager, Karachi




Sales Manager is the overall lead of the sales operation and manages brand wise volumes and distribution in accordance with the company and category objectives.Sales Manager will act as a focal point between International Principals as well as domestic team in ensuring New Business Development, Market Penetration, Research, Operations handling, Relationship Building and a hands on expertise in supply chain. The Sales Manager will be required to coordinate with teams in Lahore and Islamabad as well. Job Description

Sales Manager is responsible for all business development, sales and sales operations related matters.


1. Develop and execute sales plans and programs, both short and long term, to ensure the profit growth and expansion of Principals business.


2. Develop and modify regional coverage plan in consultation with Field Managers, to ensure high quality service and adequate coverage by the sales force.


3. Analyze the market dynamics and business trends, with particular reference to the various Principals products.


4. Ensure implementation of achievement of sales targets for self and the team.


5. Review market visit schedules of the Field Managers and the sales force and suggest necessary guidelines and strategies for target achievement. Share idea with sales teams and devise strategies /sales plan by channel etc.


6. Visit the marketplace to discuss and analyze customers satisfaction with regards to service quality and effect appropriate corrective measures through the Branch/ Field Managers and the sales force.


7. Coach and counsel the sales force on service quality standards, expiry/replacement policies, credit policies, etc. ensuring effective implementation at all times


8. Ensure working of the sales team as per set KPIs viz. productivity, sku/call, effective coverage, minimal returns, etc.


9. Channel analysis, growth and review of discounts.


10. Research, analyze and compile market intelligence in the areas of promotional activities, prices, coverage, credits, new launches, etc. of the Company as well as competition and evaluate the impact of such actions on business results


11. Receive and review, the Daily Sales Report (DSR), of each Depot in the region pertaining to the sales of preceding day.


14. Monitor receivables related issues highlighted in the ageing and advise corrective measures for recovery


15. Create a pool of suitable candidates for future openings.


16. Compile all the operating expense budgets to form a regional expense budget and forward the same to the immediate supervisor.
