Psycho Social Counselor (Pashtu Speaking), Karachi - Medecins Sans Frontieres


Job Description


Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. We are seeking qualified and highly motivated applicants for: KARACHI – MACHAR COLONY  


The mental health counselor works directly with the patients and their families in order to offer psychosocial support and counselling respecting the confidentiality and appropriate ethics; keeps record of sessions and updates database and client’s files regularly The applicant must meet the following requirements:  


Qualifications:


Bachelor in Psychology or Social Sciences or related field  or Psychiatry technician (2 years) diploma, PNC registered


Experiences:


 At least 6 months experience in counselling, community and/or social work including diagnosis Knowledge and Skills, Knowledge of Karachi community and culture. Knowledge of Machar Colony community and culture is an advantage, Good communication skills in English and Pashtu is essential.
