Chemonics seeks a chief of party for the anticipated USAID-funded project, Small and Medium Enterprise Program (SME) in Pakistan. SME is a five-year, $40 to 50 million project that aims to support small and medium enterprises and the business enabling environment. The ideal candidate is a senior-level manager, with demonstrated experience leading diverse teams. The chief of party will oversee multiple activities that increase the capacity of the private sector and advance progress toward SME's objectives. The chief of party will provide overall vision, leadership, and management to the project and oversee all project activities in Pakistan. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities include:

Lead and manage the project, with accountability for timely deliverables and resultsCreate and implement a work plan for the life of the project, identifying and initiating public-private partnerships, capacity development of key stakeholders, and developing appropriate strategy for improving SME access to financeServe as the project's main focal point and maintain communication among all relevant parties, including appropriate Pakistani government entities, as well as key actors in the financial sector and the private sectorCoordinate communication with USAID and other U.S. government entities

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in economics, public policy, business administration, or a related field; master's degree preferredMinimum 10 years of progressively responsible relevant experience in private sector development, SME development, inclusive economic growth, public-private partnerships, and/or related technical experienceExperience with USAID policies, procedures, regulations, and reporting requirements preferredProven track record of successfully implementing and development programs similar in scale and type to SMEProven ability to lead a large team in a challenging environment and developing positive professional relationships with colleagues, consultants, and clientsExperience working in South Asia or similar contexts required; experience in Pakistan preferredDemonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrityFluency in English required; fluency in Urdu preferredHow to apply:
