Senior Training Analyst

General Position Background:

USAID Power Distribution Program (PDP) is providing assistance to the government owned Power Distribution Companies of Pakistan (DISCOs), with the aim to curtail losses, enhance revenues and have a well regulated power distribution system in Pakistan.  PDP’s assistance, in its current phase, is geared towards MEPCO and PESCO and will end in September 2015.

Relevant Experience:

Minimum - a university degree, but preferably a masters in social sciences or HR Management, or an MBA in HR; relevant experience in lieu of higher qualifications, particularly in HR and organizational development will be accepted.Must have 5-10 years of HR operations and development experienceSupervisory / management experience with demonstrated leadership skillsExcellent communication and inter-personal skillsStrong advocacy and liaison abilityProficient in  process / project management skillsProficient in Microsoft Office; HR Information Systems experience will be a plusProficient in English  - speaking and writing

Job Description:

The Senior Training Analyst is responsible for:

For successful delivery of training & capacity building initiatives through coordination with all stakeholders, and as per HR&CM directions.As required, design and deliver function-specific training programs at the two DISCOs, in accordance with the training calendar already established.In coordination with the DISCO counterparts, determine civil works and other requirements in pursuance of the infrastructure development of the Regional Training Centers and the Circle Training Centers at the two DISCOs. This will involve, among other, identifying furniture, furnishings and equipment (FF&E), including IT-related equipment for the training centers; follow-up on the procurement process in coordination with PDP procurement office; ensure successful delivery and installation of the FF&E and submitting completion report.Assist in drafting and providing specific input to close-out reports of HR&CM projects, as directed.Event planning, specifically training workshops, and the management and execution of logistics for such events, including following up on proper administrative procedures of PDP. This will include, among other, securing and managing training locations, space and lodging for participants and facilitators, creating and organizing training material and ensuring appropriate supplies.Liaison with training service providers to meet training objectives.Create timelines and work plans for each event, as directed by Director HR&CM.Summarize evaluation reports for trainings and provide outcomes to Director HR & Change Management, PDP and Director HR, DISCO as directed.Maintaining and updating hard copies and electronic files pertaining to training programs and clients.Close coordination with DISCO management to institutionalize sustainable training & development function.Compiling final reports for all training programs.Other tasks as may be assigned by the Team Lead.
