Pakistan: Program Manager (Female Only)


Major Responsibilities:


Planning and Implementation of Projects:
The individual must strategize, manage, and carry out tasks by strengthening the existing systems, and developing new mechanisms to ensure the smooth running of Peace and Democracy related projects. She must be active in liaising with local and international partners, and must make sure that projects are being reported to the respective donors in a timely manner. Conducting internal reviews of projects on a regular basis, along with budgeting of financial aspects of the projects will be expected.


Fundraising, Expansion and Organization Visibility:
The individual will be responsible for providing support in proposals and concept note development for available grant opportunities, while continuously researching for unexplored donors and funds. She will be expected to expand and maximize the visibility of portfolio.


Team Management and Motivation:
The individual will be expected to support the senior management in building and promoting the desired organizational culture across her respective team, which will be ensured by following and implementing standard guidelines and policies. The individual will also provide guidance to their team in designing, conducting and analyzing project tools such as Needs Assessments and Baseline Surveys. Finally, to maintain the team’s morale and capacity, recruitment and selection of new project staff, orientation and management of existing team, coaching and mentoring of team, as well as providing training and development opportunities to the staff will be the responsibilities of the individual.


Job Specifications:


Qualification/Experience:


• For the post of Program Manager, a Master degree from a recognized university and 6 years of experience in Peace, Democracy and democratization or related fields is considered necessary. Some experience of working and coordinating with other international NGOs and funding agencies is also essential for this position.


Skill/Competencies:
• Background of development scenario at regional level.
• Excellent skills to develop and implement Program plans.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Good analytical skills.
• Team management, mentoring and coaching skills.
• Technical proposal & report writing skills on various donor formats.
