Female - Livelihoods Officer - Buner

Relevant Experience and Qualification: 

 At least three years of experience of working in the same capacity with proven track record of undertaking livelihoods enhancement / improvement activities with the focus on reducing poverty and inreasing the income at household level. Honors degree in Agriculture / Rural Development , or Masters Degree in agriculture / Rural Development Proven experience of implementing the project activities in difficult geographic terrain of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 

The certificates of experience are mandatory from the previous employer(s) to ensure the relevance. 

Job Description:

To strive for RDP's vision following its mission statement , core  values and strategies Lead the livelihoods interventions as defined in the scope of the project To undertake poverty baseline using poverty scorecard , well being ranking and other PRA tools to establish a poverty baseline at hamlet , village and UC level Develop environment friendly, self sustaining and beneficial livelihoods investment / imporvement plan for vulnerable ultra poor women Undertake training needs assessment and facilitate the vocational and skills training for women with an aim to utilize it as viable livelihoods option To conduct field based monitoring of project activities To produce qualitative and quantitaive reports Facilitate the field visits by the Donor / Partner Agencies and Government officials To meet the performance indicators with ensured quality , transparency and accountability. Represent RDP in meetings , workshops and seminars Any other task as assigned by the management 

Please Note : 


" Use of personal contacts to influence the hirning process will result in the elimination of the applicant. The short listed candidates will be contacted and RDP will not provide any TA/ DA for the Tests and Interviews. Each applicant will have to qualify a written test and a panel interview. " 

Local candidates living in the District or sorrounding Districts will be preferred if they fulfill the job requirements and qualify the test and interview on first priority.

Food Security & Livelihoods Specialist, Islamabad - Save the Children

Job Description

· Technical backstopping of FSL teams for the design and quality implementation of Food Security and Livelihoods work

· Capacity building of FSL team in understanding technical design and quality assurance in implementation and monitoring of Food Security and Livelihoods work

· Assist FSL Director in developing proposals and secure income from institutional donors

· Assist FSL Director and represent Save the Children (where appropriate) in FSL related coordination forums and ensures timely dissemination of new learning, key policies and FSL guidelines to the team mates

· Keep close coordination PDL Monitoring, Evaluation and Research unit to develop tools and ideas to ensure that Food Security and Livelihoods programs are monitored against measurable and appropriate indicators.

· Support program assessments, evaluations and other reviews required in the program

· Represent Save the Children in food security and livelihoods coordination in Islamabad, and elsewhere in country, when required. He/she should ensure Save the Children?s livelihoods work is well understood and well represented in key coordination forums and that the work is coherent with that of other agencies. Liaison with key government line ministries will be critical in this.

· Work with PDL Monitoring, Evaluation and Research unit to ensure that livelihoods programs are monitored against measurable and appropriate indicators developed by FSL and M & E team.

· Support program assessments, evaluations and other reviews required in the program.

Requirements

· Post graduate or Master degree in Agriculture / Livestock and social sciences or other relevant field.

· Minimum 7-10 years of experience with at least 5 years of relevant experience

· Good understanding of livelihoods concepts and issues in a development context.

· Excellent communications and reporting skills

· Ability to establish partnerships and networks

· Ability to write effective proposals and prepare and manage budgets

· Ability to work independently to a high professional standard

· Sensitive to the cultural & political environment

· Fluent spoken & written English language

· Prepared to work and live in challenging surroundings.

· Knowledge of Pakistan and Region

· Working knowledge of Pakistani languages.

Senior Food Security & Livelihoods Coordinator, Peshawar - Save the Children

Job Description

· Overall management of the Livelihoods Program and associated livelihoods staff.

· Ensure the implementation of Livelihood activities is well undertaken. Activities could include inputs such as agricultural or small business support, cash or voucher transfer and Cash for Work.

· The Sr. LC will be responsible for work-planning and implementation for the range of livelihoods functions.

· The Sr. LC will be required to oversee livelihoods budget and ensure adherence to SC minimum standards in financial accountability.

· The Sr. LC should ensure that livelihoods programmes are coherent and well integrated with other sectoral activities.

· The Sr. LC will be responsible for the management of SC and partner staff working on livelihoods

· programme. He/ She will be required to undertake team work planning, and manage staff through regular 1:1?s to ensure that the programme is maximizing the capacity of all staff and that arising issues are addressed early.

· Identify Livelihood opportunities and develop programme for future.

· Submit required and routine reports.

· Preparing project related narrative, financial and other type of reports.

· Support the development of livelihoods case studies and other presentations for communication as required.

· Assist in preparing of projects proposals for different donors.

· Ensure the livelihoods programme is well coordinated at district level. Demonstrate pro-activity to manage coordination and attend routine official meetings as requested by the Field Programme Manager.

Requirements

· Masters in development studies, agriculture or any related discipline.

· Total Work Experience (In Yrs) 5-6 years.

· Sector Experience (In Yrs) 4 years.

· Demonstrated experience working on complex operations in an emergency

· Good computer literacy, excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Good understanding of Livelihoods concepts and excellent monitoring skills

Livelihoods Project Coordinator Nowshera

Essential Job Description/Scope of Work:

Provide all necessary support and guidance to the Implementing Partner to ensure that projects meet their stated objectives within the timeframe and budget;Ensure accountability to beneficiaries, gender sensitivity, and inclusion are adequately addressed in all phases of project implementation;Ensure that appropriate project activities/interventions are implemented according to needs and priorities of communities/beneficiaries;Ensure technical quality and accuracy of IP project reports.Identify opportunities for mainstreaming other sector activities with proposed or ongoing Livelihood projects.Represent DKH in all Livelihood project related technical matters: be the focal person for the Livelihood Sector in the District/Province for Partners as well as for the DKH Management.

 Knowledge and Skills: Suitable applicants for this position would possess:

Strong technical knowledge and skills in the subject of Agriculture (Agronomy and Horticulture) and/or Livestock management (Poultry and Goat Management);Excellent knowledge and skills in designing and revising concepts/proposals, needs assessment methodologies  and guidelines;Excellent communication skills including the ability to write clear, concise reports;Fluency in English (oral and written); and local language in KPK – Pashtu.Excellent coordination and networking skills, Good leadership skills demonstrated by past experienceExcellent  organizational skills and ability to work under pressure;Competent user of Microsoft Office tools especially MS Word, Excel, MS Powerpoint.

Livelihoods Officer

Job Description 1. Develop Strategy of community interaction for the social organizers and hold first dialogue meetings with the communities; 2. To work with the community to ensure that they are responding to identified needs and have the full participation of the community in the FFW/T schemes; 3. Develop appropriate need assessment tools and conduct need assessment to determine the need of FFW schemes; 4. Present and actively coordinate in distribution of inputs related to Food for Work interventions; 5. Present and facilitate in Food for Training events designed for beneficiaries; 6. Reporting of issues and their possible solutions to the livelihoods coordinator; 7. Monitor FFW/T schemes to ensure that it is managed within the time provided and as per objectives; 8. Weekly reporting on progress; 9. Support and assist Food Aid Coordinator in data and reports compilation; 10. Comply with the requirements of Save the Children’s Child Protection Policy to ensure maximum protection for children; 11. Other duties as required in line with your skills, expertise and role; 12. Follows all Save the Children policies and procedures; 13. Undertakes any other tasks assigned by supervisor; Requirements 1.
