Senior Food Security & Livelihoods Coordinator, Peshawar - Save the Children

Job Description

· Overall management of the Livelihoods Program and associated livelihoods staff.

· Ensure the implementation of Livelihood activities is well undertaken. Activities could include inputs such as agricultural or small business support, cash or voucher transfer and Cash for Work.

· The Sr. LC will be responsible for work-planning and implementation for the range of livelihoods functions.

· The Sr. LC will be required to oversee livelihoods budget and ensure adherence to SC minimum standards in financial accountability.

· The Sr. LC should ensure that livelihoods programmes are coherent and well integrated with other sectoral activities.

· The Sr. LC will be responsible for the management of SC and partner staff working on livelihoods

· programme. He/ She will be required to undertake team work planning, and manage staff through regular 1:1?s to ensure that the programme is maximizing the capacity of all staff and that arising issues are addressed early.

· Identify Livelihood opportunities and develop programme for future.

· Submit required and routine reports.

· Preparing project related narrative, financial and other type of reports.

· Support the development of livelihoods case studies and other presentations for communication as required.

· Assist in preparing of projects proposals for different donors.

· Ensure the livelihoods programme is well coordinated at district level. Demonstrate pro-activity to manage coordination and attend routine official meetings as requested by the Field Programme Manager.

Requirements

· Masters in development studies, agriculture or any related discipline.

· Total Work Experience (In Yrs) 5-6 years.

· Sector Experience (In Yrs) 4 years.

· Demonstrated experience working on complex operations in an emergency

· Good computer literacy, excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Good understanding of Livelihoods concepts and excellent monitoring skills
