HEAD OF OPERATIONS – REFINING COMPLEX
Our Client is a major Petroleum Refining Company of Pakistan and is looking to fill the position of “Head of Operations” for their Large Refining Complex.
Functions and Responsibilities
Responsible for safe, efficient and environmentally responsible operation of all refinery processes, utilities, off-site units and overall production targets in accordance with company’s and local regulations. This position will provide leadership and direction to all plant departments with a strong focus on plant & personnel safety. The deliverables would be as hereunder:
• Lead, direct, develop and control day-to-day operations to achieve plant operations & performance goals set by the organization. Coordinate between plant departments and
corporate parameters. Provide a clear sense of direction and focus;
• Develop systems and processes and relevant SOPs that track and optimise productivity and compliance as per the set standards;
• Responsible for the production quality and response to customer issues regarding products. Create and maintain a culture of continuous improvement;
• Implement strict Plant Safety and Environmental Programs;
• Work with the Management in development of business plans and other key strategies. Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives. Develop expense and capital budgets and operate plant within budget parameters;
• Increase production, asset capacity and flexibility, while minimizing waste and inefficiencies, unnecessary costs and maintaining quality standards;
• Interface with sales, finance, technical services and other external partners to optimize production and supply plans;
• Develop operation teams through functional training. Address all human resource issues. Manage plant employee relations from a company and plant management perspective
