JOB CONTEXT In 2005, Pakistan suffered from the Cashmere’s earthquake which completely destroyed the infrastructures and caused a lot of victims. Handicap International (HI) was there to help communities to overcome their difficulties. Since then, HI is present in the country and has progressively developed long term actions as mentioned below: • Setting up an Inclusion Technical Cell (ITC), • Strengthening inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) initiatives, • Developing inclusive education.

JOB DESCRIPTION The ITC aims at promoting an inclusive approach for all humanitarian actors by providing training and technical backstopping whenever needed. The ITC could be activated in any intervention context. The ITC works in close collaboration with several actors: the Age and Disability Task Force (ADTF - specialized in inclusion in emergency interventions), national NGOs and DPOs.

As ITC Coordinator, you will be based in Islamabad with some field visits to project areas. You will be directly under the line management of the Program Director and manage a team of 3 persons.

Your general mission is to consolidate and strengthen the concept, the framework, and the operational guidelines of the ITC, as well as to ensure that the relevant national staff is trained to be autonomous in their activities. .

As such, your responsibilities will be divided into 4 main parts: • First of all, you are tasked to foster effective deployment and performance of the teams by using strong management mechanisms.
• You are in charge of coaching and training key national staff in order for them to become sufficiently autonomous in carrying out their work. • Then, it is necessary to coordinate the several departments of the ITC through clear guidance and follow-up the actions as well as communication with all partners of the ITC.
• Lastly, you have to care of the effectiveness and the continuous improvement of the ITC’s inclusive approaches by implementing the best practices.

CANDIDATE PROFILE You have: • A University degree in a disability-related discipline • A minimum of 5 years proven experience in the inclusion, disability inclusion, humanitarian and development field, in both a management and technical capacity • Experience in applying participatory methods and managing partnerships in a empowering manner • A broad understanding of disability, development, emergency and human rights issues • Coaching and mentoring skills

You are: • Experimented in living and adapting successfully to multicultural environment and to Islamic culture • Able to work independently & as a team member • Known to be field work oriented, flexible, diplomatic, creative, patient and dynamic • Able to adapt to a restrictive environment

JOB ENVIRONMENT Currently, Pakistan knows some conflicts. That’s why, security remains a major concern, with regular unpredictable terrorist attacks throughout the country including in cities. If needed, security restrictions can be imposed at any moment.

However, you can enjoy a number of recreational and leisure activities in Islamabad a city where there is an important concentration of expatriates.

The position is based in Islamabad with frequent travels to the field (Approximately 33% of the time, in KP Province including Peshawar)

Because of the context and security concerns, the position is not opened to families

REQUIRED LANGUAGE SKILLS: English - fluent spoken and written level

CONDITIONS Salary: 2150-2500€ gross salary/month + 457 Euros net/month expatriation allowance + 50% of the medical cover taken in charge by HI + repatriation insurance + indemnity for partner and children Or Volunteer: 750 or 850 Euros monthly indemnity + living allowance paid on the field + accommodation + 100% of the medical cover taken in charge by HI + repatriation insurance + indemnity for partner and children
