Assistant Manager - Value Chain Grapes
Specific Responsibilities:
Assume overall responsibility for planning, implementing, monitoring and coordinating the implementation of Viticulture activitiesCarry out field activities and follow up on timely implementation especially for grapes interventionsCoordinate all field activities in close consultation with farmer/farmer groups, social mobilizers and value chain specialistUnder the supervision value chain Lead, undertake responsibility for the implementation of field activities and farmers training needs identification.Develop the linkages and networks required at regional level, and identity and implement pro-active measures for continued collaborationWork closely with sector consultants engaged by the Organization from time to time for undertaking various assignmentsRecord information/data and report to M&E as and when requiredAssist M&E unit in monitoring of grape related activities in the regionEnsure compliance to project policies and rules in procurement and implementing field activitiesServe from time to time as a facilitator for Component events;Assist Admin / Logistics team and all other departments, as may be required from time to time to ensure optimal project performance;Perform all other relevant duties that may be assigned by the supervisor/Chief of Party or his designee.PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Minimum experience of 5 years in Agricultural sector working directly with farmers.
Experience of working with International NGOs, donor agencies would be a plus.
Excellent writing and communications skills in English and Urdu are required. Computer literacy is essential with demonstrated use of MS Word, Excel, Power Point etc.
Post Graduate Degree in Agricultural Sciences.
