PURPOSE OF POSITION

To provide technical assistance in planning, development, funding, implementation, evaluation and reporting of the World Vision program and projects

Major responsibilities:

Preparation and submission of regular narrative and other reports required by donor/s, support offices and management following LEAP reporting system (templates, scheduled) based on M&E monthly reports.Process feedbacks on report quality and timeliness to management every quarter.Compile AIP accomplishment report.Ensure timely submission of ITT/ATT to National Office.Participates and supports in the actual program design and development of concept papers and proposals, including re-designing when necessary.Provide technical assistance during routine field visits and review of reports to ensure goals, objectives and outputs are in line with project log-frame.Provide technical support related to community development initiatives, specifically on project design and reporting.Monitor funding status for each sector of the program to identify possible funding gaps and ensure smooth transitions from one grant to the nextCarry out research for secondary data (using internal & external data sources) for utilization in program and project development.Review all program and project documents to ensure the principles of the Red Cross Code of Conduct, Sphere standards, HAP-I standards and relevant WV internal standards, strategies and policies are met.Participate in joint agency assessments, task-force teams, relevant workshops for programming.Assist in preparation of annual operating plans of the AIP in consideration of results of needs assessments and other information.Alert AM and Program Staff at NO of issues raised in reports if goals, objectives and outputs are not being achieved as per implementation schedule.

Analytical and communication skills and creativity.Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills and detail orientation.Strong communication skills (both English and local) and creativityExcellent facilitation skills and use of participatory techniquesAbility to work in and contribute to team building environment.Ability to maintain performance expectations in diverse cultural contexts and capacity to work under pressure.Knowledge of the local culture, norms and challengesClear understanding of the workings of major donors

Education & Experience:

Master’s degree/University degree in development studies or related field.2-3 years proven experience in project design and proposal writing; very good understanding of log frame.Relevant experience in community development initiatives.1-2 years of experience in technical report writing.
