Pakistan: Consultant Strengthening systems for Alternative Care provision in Pakistan
Assignment in brief (see attachment for full details):
UNICEF Pakistan is seeking specialized technical support via a 45 day consultancy assignment to assist the provincial Governments of Pakistan in the area of Alternative Care Services. Specific tasks of the selected consultant will include:
Further contextualization of Minimum Standards for Children in Alternative Care (particularly in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province);Development of comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the registration, monitoring, inspection and evaluation of child protection institutions that provide forms of alternative care services (relevant across Pakistan, including in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Punjab provinces);Develop quality inputs for operationalization plan for selected child caring institutes for implementation of Minimum Standards in Punjab and Sindh provinces;Develop training curricula/manual on implementation of SOPs;Build the capacity (via training) of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa provincial Government officials to plan, implement, monitor and inspect the delivery of quality alternative care services where required.The consultant may be remotely based with travel to Pakistan as required.
