Technical Project Director and Senior Technical Advisors

EngenderHealth-Pakistan is seeking expressions of interest from highly-qualified candidates in anticipation of projects that will provide technical assistance to support interventions to scale up modern family planning (FP) services with emphasis on long-acting and permanent methods and to strengthen health systems in the areas of Sexual and Reproductive Health and to support, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) in underserved urban and rural areas in Pakistan.

Pakistan based positions may include Technical Director (Lahore); Senior Technical Advisors and Project Officers in southern Punjab, northern Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). Candidates having experience in integration of FP/MNCH are encouraged to apply.  

Technical Project Director must possess a medical degree (M.D., M.B.B.S., with postgraduate qualifications preferred) and extensive clinical expertise and recent knowledge of best practices in the areas mentioned above. He/She must have at least 10 years of senior level programmatic and technical experience in the areas of FP/RH/MNCH working for international organizations, including experience working in Pakistan and at least 5 years experience providing technical leadership of large programs/projects.

Senior Technical Advisors (multiple vacancies anticipated) must possess a medical degree (MD, MBBS), other clinical degrees (such as nursing, midwifery), or a university degree in a relevant field. Must have at least 7 years of experience providing technical assistance in the areas mentioned above, including experience building the capacity of local implementing partners in provision of quality FP/RH/MNCH services in facility and community-based settings; generating demand for services through community engagement; and advocating for sustainable changes at the policy level. Experience of working for international agencies is preferred.

Masters of Public Health degree along with experience in integrated approaches to quality health service delivery in the public, private, and NGO sectors and/or with private sector networks, including gender equity and community engagement for health is a plus for all candidates. All positions are subject to change based on procurement requirements and are contingent on EngenderHealth being awarded the project.
