Clinical Supervisor FP and PAC, Swat - Merlin

Overall responsibilities

To provide mentoring and clinical supervision for selected facilities and outreach activities. Technical Management of the Integrated Family Planning and Post Abortion Care Project in Swat

General

Supervise antenatal, intra-partum and postnatal, family planning and post abortion care though technical support to reproductive health staff, ensuring standardized protocols are understood and adhered to and supervision tools followed.

To ensure all health information indicators are recorded and project technical reports are timely and of sound quality.

Prepare weekly/monthly reports on MCH and RH activities.

--To ensure regular feedback to facility staff on programme quality and progress against project indicators.

--To provide facility based training on clinical care.

--To provide on continual feedback to RHC on associated programme activities pharmacy stock levels, health promotion activities, and general facility care.

HR

--Assist the RHC to recruit additional required MoH staff.

--To be responsible for induction and technical line management of reproductive health staff within assigned clinics.

Training

To coordinate all RH training activities in assigned clinics.

TO participate in all RH trainings.

--To ensure core competencies are monitored in allocated facilities and outreach teams post training and to provide additional on the job training and formal training events to correct key problems.

Drug and Equipment

To ensure Merlin's drug management guidelines are adhered to with regard to reproductive health drugs, medical supplies and equipment.

Health Promotion

Work with the facility health promotion staff and Merlin health promotion supervisors to ensure an appropriate health education/promotion component linked to the facilities and outreach system.

Representation

To represent Merlin in RH, MoH and CHC meetings as requested.

Emergencies

Assist with emergency assessments and emergency preparedness planning as appropriate.

Be part of outbreak response team involved in appropriate vaccination programmes, case management and control of spread as requested.

To contribute to implementation of MISP in the event of an emergency situation.

Perform any other duties as may be deemed necessary by the PC and or RHC.
