Officer Claims and QMR (Karachi)

Job Description:

JD for Officer Claims:

1.Obtaining required data / evidences & supports from claimants to investigate the cases & to assess the extent of loss.
2.Preparing & processing of claims settlement once assessment is done & found justified, getting them approved by the management team / signing authorities. Satisfying the queries if any, & follow up till release of payment.
3.Maintaining the records of all types of claims container damages, Services failures, stevedoring damages, examination claims (Pilferage & cargo damage) & insurance claims etc.
4.Coordination with surveyors, getting the surveys done to assess the extent of loss damages / accidents occurs in terminal.
5.Getting the damaged containers repaired on IICL standards, belong to different shipping lines.
6.Getting the stevedoring damage repaired occur during vessel operations.
7.Intimation to HPH against all insurance claims / major damages occur, and resolving the queries in this regard.
8.Dealing with insurance recovery claims (Liability & property) under guidance from superiors.
9.Maintaining all the records of insurance claims (Liability & Property).
10.Debiting the damaged cost assessed by department from vendors wherever they are responsible for the damage, pay surprise visits, negotiate against losses caused by them
11.Liaison / Correspondence with Shipping lines, parties, surveyors & vendors under guidance from superiors.
12.Handling & arranging to settle justified claims on agreed negotiations with parties and refuted invalid ones on the basis in appropriate supports, insufficient evidences & liability towards party.

JD for QMR:

1.Coordination with consultants.
2.Coordination with certifying body.
3.Scheduling of certifying body Audits.
4.Planning & scheduling of internal Audits.
5.Collection of quarterly data from all departments against objectives.
6.Compiling of data into Power point presentation.
7.Appraise the management on deviations & trends, taking their feed back on corrective actions.
8.Preparation of management review meetings every quarter and posting them in QMS folder.
9.Reviewing the objective of each quarter (every financial year each department has to revise their objectives)
10.Updating the Manual and control forms to bring in quality changes to keep check on reviewing & revising of manual every two years.
11.Updating the management as and when on certification of revise standards
12.Uploading the entire system in QMS folder
13.To ensure corrective actions for NCR related to int. & Ext. audits.
