Project Officer Gender
We are an International Organization (INGO) working in the field of elections, democracy and governance in collaboration with government institutions and civil society in support of electoral reforms in Pakistan. We are currently seeking committed and energetic staff for the above position. Detailed scope of work with required skills and qualifications are summarized below:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as resource person on women participation in election and democracy.Undertake needs assessments with regard to women’s electoral and political empowerment.Provide technical expertise and tools for gender mainstreaming in the country’s electoral and democratic processes.Integrate and disseminate good practices and innovative activities for gender mainstreaming.Support in development and dissemination of work on women.Conceptualize and design activities which enhance gender electoral participation.Train and offer advice and guidance for other staff members on gender mainstreaming.Any other task assignedQualifications & Skills:
Master’s degree in social sciences, gender studies or related fieldMinimum of five (5) years of progressive professional experience in the work of women electoral/political participation.Demonstrated knowledge of and experience on women’s rights issues and election processes.Demonstrated work experience in program design and strategy to promote gender equity, especially in complex/high-risk environments.Analytical skills, communications, and writing skills.Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point,Ability to lead formulation and evaluation of development programs and projects.Strong skills in written and oral communications in English and UrduExcellent interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity to effectively interact with all levels of staff and various stakeholdersPrior working experience with International organizations is desirableDisclaimer Clause:
