Design and Production Manager

We are a private limited company designing and producing our own brand of semi formal / casual day and evening wear women clothing targeting mass fashion. We are looking for a Design and Production Manager for our Lahore office, who understands that clothes can be a medium of self expression and a projection of image and build brand development operations accordingly.

We are looking an individual who has working experience in women wear fashion designing and production operations at a managerial level. Job responsibilities and requirement are as following.

Responsibilities:

establish and develop an efficient and reliable supply chain which includes independent fashion design houses, textile and fabric suppliers and stitching units;

supervise and assist the fashion design houses in finalizing the designs in line with the brand philosophy and theme which includes providing your feedback on drawings, sketches and technical packs;

oversee and manage the production cycle;

procure fabric and other materials required for production from the local market;

liaise and coordinate with supplier partners on routine daily matters;

assist in developing plans and budgets for the business;

routine administrative tasks;

support in developing and producing the marketing collaterals; and

support in further research of the local market for the development of brand.

Qualification Criteria

three to five years’ experience in a design assistant / production development role or similar field of work within the apparel industry;

in-depth knowledge of the local market and fashion trends;

qualifications in fashion designing;

previous experience sourcing fabrics, arranging story and color boards;

strong understanding of apparel production process (at the stitching unit level) and development;

strong technical skills in preparing technical drawings, garment construction, design finalization and pre-production; and

a prior experience in setting-up new business structure would be a big plus but not a requirement.
