Business Enabling Environment Intern
Relevant Experience:
The candidate should have completed, or currently be enrolled in, a program that leads to a Bachelors Degree (four years) in public policy, social sciences, or a related subject with adequate skills using MS Office software.
Job Description:
The Project has introduced a series of policy and private sector related interventions in a number of areas including district economic development strategies, livestock sector reforms, agriculture market reforms, etc. The scale of implementation for these interventions requires additional administrative and technical support. An intern can contribute to formulation and implementation of project plans and program activities that fall under the Business Enabling Environment (BEE) component’s review. The objective of this internship is to provide assistance and support to the BEE component in the successful implementation of all aspects of the project’s work plan and achievement of the project objective. The services of the intern would be required to provide support services to the BEE component including but not limited to the following:
Support in program planning and managementAssist in updating the BEE Component’s electronic work plan actions and budgets, and in reviewing and archiving in a compliant manner all documents related to work plan actions including, but not limited to, position descriptions, SOWs, background readings, deliverables, and other documentsConduct background research on policy and legislative interventionCorrespond with government and private sector stakeholders on project activitiesProvide word-processing, spreadsheet analysis, record management and other administrative services to prepare communications, reports, charts, tables, and other documentsData collection, entry, analysis using statistical software, processing, and report writingAdministrative and logistics support including obtaining appointments for meetings, preparing minutes of the meeting and assisting with any research and/or presentations relevant for meetingsMaintenance and filing of record (both soft and hard copies), assisting with database management where necessaryEnsure close collaboration and teamwork with all project offices and componentsView the original article here
