The HR Manager will be the senior human resource representative responsible for supporting the organization within every area of the company’s HR operations, including but not limited to, recruitment, employee and labor relations, compensation and performance management, compliance and training and development. As this is a relatively young company, the HR Manager will be responsible for recommending, developing and implementing new HR programs and policies as appropriate; therefore the ideal candidate will be creative, self-motivated, can think outside-the-box and can work independently with little direction. He/she will have good listening and communication skills, will be a good manager, and can develop into an effective leader in the organization. The following will be the essential responsibilities for the HR Manager:

- Recruitment: Develop the firm’s recruitment and talent acquisition strategy, including identifying staff vacancies, sourcing new employees (via agencies and on campus recruiting efforts), interviewing and selecting new hires.

- Compensation and Benefits: Administer compensation and benefits program. Analyze and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.

- Compliance: Advise the company on organizational policy matters, such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment.

- Employee Communications and Labor Relations: Update HR Policy and Procedures Manual, providing employees with information about policies and procedures, job duties, working conditions, wages and employee benefits. Serve as link between management and employees by sending company communications, responding to questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related issues.

- Training and Development: Plan and conduct new employee orientations to foster positive attitude towards organizational objectives. Analyze training needs for all employees and assure that appropriate training opportunities are provided to employees to further personal, career and organizational development.

- Performance Management: Develop and implement a program for employee performance management/appraisals, career and succession planning (360 degree, management appraisals, etc.).

In addition, the HR Manager will work with management and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment which encourages the full use of diverse talents and abilities. The HR Manager will help determine an annual HR budget and will be accountable and responsible for working within the budget and for the measurement of all HR programs and processes. Finally, the HR Manager will provide leadership for the development and execution of the organization vision and structure, including development and execution of a communication plan to ensure that effective two-way communication takes place; the HR Manager will define the measures that will tell the organization how well it is succeeding in its strategic plan.
