Senior Petrophysicist

Description :
To provide petrophysical interpretation results and give recommendation / technical advice for commercial, technical and operating decisions, reservoir characterisation & reservoir management;

Key Accountibilities :

Prepare cost effective logging programs to ensure proper petrophysical evaluation of drilled wells (open & cased hole; Wireline & LWD)Coordinate & supervise logging operations and perform quality control to ensure that Contractor delivers according to contract and evaluation objectives are metPerform petrophysical analysis of log data (single well analysis) and assist team in decision making (P&A or run casing, selection of perforation intervals, etc.)Plan and prepare, in combination with reservoir engineers and geologists, routine & special core analysis (RCA & SCAL) programs to reduce uncertainties in petrophysical analysisPerform petrophysical multi-well / field analysis as part of integrated subsurface studies and deliver necessary input data for static & dynamic reservoir modelsGive support and petrophysical input in peer reviews and data room evaluations to allow sound technical evaluation and execution of E&P projectsDefine technical standards / requirements for logging tenders to support procurement in preparation of tender documents; perform technical evaluation of received bids, assist in commercial bid evaluation and give recommendations for contract awardDocument all technical work performed in the relevant systems (data bases, EDMS, …)

Qualification :

Masters in Geology/Geophysics/Petroleum GeoscienceMinimum 8-12 years of relevant experienceAbility to work in multi-disciplinary teamsWorking knowledge of petrophysical interpretation techniquesAbility to apply proper petrophysical & borehole-geological interpretation techniques in all kind of environments (vertical / deviated / horizontal wells; clastic / carbonate reservoir);Be proficient in applying petrophysical interpretation software packages (Geoframe / ELAN, IP; Techlog);Ability to work in a multidisciplinary teamAbility to mentor junior staffExcellent communciation skills
