Finance Assistant

Relevant Experience:

M.Com/MBA Finance, experience in development sector will be preferred.Good understanding of computerized accounting system, preferably Solomon. Good communication skills.Good computer skills especially MS Excel.

Job Description:

Prepare cash and bank payment vouchers.Duly review procurement documents for completeness and accuracy before preparing payment vouchers. Assist Finance Officer in reconciliation of financial record with grants database. Assist Finance Officer in preparing bank reconciliations.Deal with Bank for funds transfer, staff salaries, per diem and allowances.Copy, Scan, and send relevant financial documents to HQ.Data entry into accounting software.Maintain petty cash and liquidate advances to field offices, Admin and procurement departments.Conducting daily cash count with one senior staff and monthly cash reconciliation.Maintain proper filling system as per organization requirements. Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
